Square & Die-Cut Drink Mats

When the round disc is not the point: squares and soft-cornered rectangles that sit better on a slate or a paper placemat, and full die-cut shapes cut to your own outline — a bottle silhouette, a shield, a hop cone, a logo lockup.

Shaped mats are a tooling job and we treat them like one: your outline is proofed on the die line with the bleed and the safe area marked, so the cut lands where you drew it rather than where a knife happened to fall.

Corners are where shaped mats fail, so sharp points are advised against and radiused where you will let us — a wet pulpboard point furs, folds and looks cheap by the second round.

Board specification and both-faces printing stay exactly as they are on the round mats; only the outline changes.

Can you cut any shape?
Very nearly — the limits are practical rather than artistic. Long thin protrusions and needle-sharp points do not survive on wet pulpboard: they fur, fold over and read as damage rather than design by the second round. Send the outline and we will show you a proof on the die line with any point we would like to radius flagged, along with what it will look like if we do not.
Do shaped mats cost much more than round?
There is a one-off tooling charge for a bespoke outline and then the per-unit difference is small, so shapes make sense on real quantities and less sense on a trial run. Squares and rounded rectangles use standard tooling and cost the same as round. We will always show you both numbers rather than steering you to the more expensive one.
